Purpose: After viewing Adobe Youth Voices, on the Internet, students decided they would like develop a video based upon their future aspirations.
Procedure: Students brain-stormed 30 affirmations. Then they created a story board to guide filming each affirmation. They choose three perspectives: close-up, different point of view, and movement within shot. Students then worked teams to video each scene. Separate teams chose best scene for each affirmation, edited scenes for timing and content, arranged scenes in a logical visual order, created an opening and ending, added a sound track and narration. The group reviewed and fine tuned each product.
Origins: Our goal was to use technology to communicate affirmations which would help and encourage students and others in reaching their goals.
Technology: Internet connected computers, Adobe Youth Voices website, video cameras, Adobe Premiere software.
